This project concerns the construction of a new ground floor house with basement, guest house and swimming pool in the area of Gaidourospilia on the island of Milos. The central design idea is based on a sequence of parallel stone walls sliding from each other that clearly defines the separate functional units of the dwelling, both in the interior and the exterior. The main building comprises four functional units: the entrance, the living room with the kitchen, the master bedroom with its bathroom and two more guest bedrooms with their bathrooms. The guesthouse, developed at a lower point of the plot, includes two more guest rooms with their bathrooms while the swimming pool is designed as a separate unit which includes an outdoor living room, outdoor kitchen and dining area.  As these stone walls slide along and extend to the exterior, they serve to create smaller courtyards and verandas and to offer privacy to their users. The faces between the stone walls are formed by large sliding glazing and plastered features in beige. All the roofs of the buildings are planted to blend the building softer into the landscape, while the pergolas are made of natural wood and wicker.
