Scoop is a small food and beverage shop offering coffee, snacks, loukoumades (a Greek delicacy similar to doughnuts), and ice cream. The main challenge in designing the shop was making optimal use of the extremely limited space available.
The central design idea revolves around an elongated counter placed at the center of the shop, which functionally organizes the various uses: the cash register at the entrance, the snack display, the ice cream display, and the toppings section. The counter is clad in solid chestnut slats with a semicircular cross-section, and its overall shape ends in a curve at both ends.
The shop’s aesthetic identity is further enhanced by pink metal structures that run through various parts of the space, forming shelves and framing key points of interest, such as the wall-mounted menu and the doughnut preparation area. The shop’s entrance reflects the same concept, with its semicircular design seamlessly integrating into the overall aesthetic.
A standout feature is the hanging light fixture in the form of a light tube, which evokes the image of dripping honey. Across all custom-made elements, curved forms dominate, aiming to create a warm and inviting environment inspired by doughnuts and honey.
