This is a reconstruction of a two-story building in Kato Chora, Serifos. The original building dates back to before 1885, as a dowry agreement of 1885 mentions: ‘the hall and the two rooms’ on the ground floor. In later phases the floor was added, then another room on the ground floor and the intermediate spaces which were originally courtyards. The building used to operate as a grocery store and bakery. Specifically, the bakery was known as the ‘Batis Bakery’, from where the project draws its name.

The aim of the project is the creation of a single two-story house. On the ground floor there are two bedrooms with private bathrooms, a small living room and kitchen, and a guest room with external entrance. Upstairs is another guest room with loft and living room, kitchen and dining room that open out on the large terrace overlooking Livadi.
